Tecnavia at the 2025 ClimSA–SEWA Forum: Supporting Africa’s Climate Resilience
Windhoek, Namibia | June 23–27, 2025
Tecnavia is proud to support the Second Continental Joint ClimSA–SEWA Forum, organized by the African Union Commission with support from the European Union. The forum brings together policymakers, climate experts, and international partners to expand access to climate and weather services across Africa.
As climate change intensifies, the need for accurate, accessible, and actionable data becomes critical, especially in sectors like agriculture, water, energy, and disaster preparedness. ClimSA and SEWA are addressing this challenge through space-based early warning systems, regional cooperation, and capacity building.
Tecnavia’s Contribution: Smart Systems, Shared Access
Tecnavia contributes to this vision with technologies that transform data into decision-making power. Our Skyceiver systems, deployed across Africa, allow meteorological services to receive and visualize real-time satellite data. They support national and local planning with tools that are robust, user-friendly, and designed for challenging environments.
Within this framework, PUMA2025 is equipping all African national meteorological services with MTG-ready stations to process and distribute high-resolution climate data. To enhance accessibility and speed, the Cheetah 2025 initiative complements these systems, enhancing data accessibility and speed through optimized sharing and secure multi-departmental access.
Working Together for Climate Resilience
The ClimSA–SEWA Forum highlights the importance of collaboration across institutions and countries. Tecnavia is proud to support this ecosystem of innovation alongside partners like EUMETSAT, WMO, and regional climate centers. Together, we are helping turn climate data into climate action.
