Tecnavia at EUMETSAT 2025: Innovating Meteorological Data Distribution
At this year’s EUMETSAT User Conference, 15-19 September Lyon, Tecnavia will present Cheetah 2025, an innovative system for distributing high-volume meteorological data across Africa. Cheetah 2025 delivers high-resolution 1 km FCI data even over slow or intermittent internet, enables shared access to PUMA2025 and ClimSA applications, and provides open data as a backup to MTG transmissions. Already operational, the system will expand to all African nations and is adaptable to Ku-band ground systems.
EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, coordinates satellite data for weather forecasting and climate monitoring.
This year’s EUMETSAT theme, “From Space to Safety: Earth Observation for Future Weather and Climate Preparedness”, highlights the vital role of satellite data for global resilience, an effort that Tecnavia is proud to support.
